Retroactive should be able to install iTunes 12.9.5 with your local installer. Instead of downloading iTunes, Retroactive is verifying your local InstallESDDmg.pkg. When Retroactive says "Downloading iTunes", the progress value will be at 0% for half a minute, but the progress bar will move forward. Open Retroactive again, iTunes > iTunes 12.9.5 > Continue. Make sure it's directly copied to /tmp itself, not a subfolder under /tmp. If there is already a InstallESDDmg.pkg in this /tmp folder, drag it to the trash to delete it.Ĭopy your downloaded InstallESDDmg.pkg to this /tmp folder. In the text field, enter /tmp, and click Go. You have made my day! My country it’s limited to 1,5mbs per second by the way. I mean, 15gb spend just to download older apps. For my country problems, I haven’t had the opportunity to get a new one and get apps on it, it’s a workaround very large (going to the iTunes store, purchasing the app, going to the device, tapping the cloud, you know) and I do this with a virtual machine. I needed the 12.9 because my library it was last saved with this one… you know iTunes didn’t let you open newer on older. I made a backup of both just before I read you mail.Ģ You can install the 12.9 and 12.6 at the same time? The pkg and extracted folder were there this morning. Since I keep a backup from the early OS (in this case Mojave),ġ there’s a way to help Retroactive’s process keeping the extracted folder with the iTunes app and any other file (those you considere necessary for the process) and trash the InstallESDDmg pkg? ![]() I was asking for the file, because I’m planning to do a fresh install. Thanks I zipped the iTunes library before install Catalina.Īs far I could understand, what your app do, it’s download Mojave, unzip and extract the iTunes app. When I woke up, the process was waiting for me to continue.
